Aardvarc Racing is pleased to announce that it has added high quality chrome bumpers to its list of unique 2002 upgrades. The bumpers and bumper pieces are original units that have been fully reconditioned and chrome plated in a manner with results far superior to the original German chrome. Two pictures are included at this time, but more will be added in the near future, hopefully showing the amazing the quality of the bumpers.  We stock only BMW 2002 bumpers and bumper pieces.  Please don't inquire about any other mark.  We realize chrome pieces for Detroit iron are hard to come by, but we don't have any.

In a nut shell, there are two types of chrome plating related to automotive parts:

• Standard Chrome - copper or nickel plate, polish, final chrome plate, and a final polish. This is the standard chrome process used by automotive manufacturers and chrome shops for bumpers and not what is sold by Aardvarc. 
   
• Show Chrome - copper or nickel plate, polish, nickel plate, polish, chrome plate, and a final polish.  This is what all or most of the bumpers on cars at custom cars show have - that deep, rich chrome look.  This is analagous to a fine paint job where the extra coats of primer, with sanding in between, yield a beautiful rich final paint coat. This is what we sell.

In an effort to provide a unique product, we have arranged to have bumpers plated in show chrome for a price that most others can not match.  The goal is to provide beautiful and rich bumpers for the discriminating 2002 owner, the one that will settle for only the best. 

Since used bumpers do not grow on trees, all bumpers and bumper pieces are offered on an exchange basis, and the prices listed below are inclusive of the exchange. Please contact us for a quote on an out-right purchase of any complete bumper or bumper piece. Prices below do not include any rubber, fasteners, clips, or brackets - just the chrome pieces.

Pricing (based on exchange of like pieces):
Complete 5-piece Bumper (1967-1973, front or rear):  $465
Partial 3-piece Bumper (L-C-R sections, front or rear): $375
Center Section (any front or rear): $225
Side Section (right or left, front or rear): $95
Horn or Over-rider (right or left, front or rear): $55

Core Charges:
In the event a core bumper can not be returned to Aardvarc Racing, or a piece in simply not repairable, the following costs will be incured:

• Early (67-71) Front or Rear ($200 Complete Bumper)
  Center, $100
  Left or Right Side, $35 each
  Horn, $15 each (except tiny 1600 Euro Horn, $50 each)
• Late (72-73) Front ($240 Complete Bumper)
  Center, $100
  Left or Right Side, $45 each
  Horn, $25 each (except '73 Horn, $50 each)
• Late (72-73) Rear ($260 Complete Bumper)
  Center, $120
  Left or Right Side, $45 each
  Horn, $25 each
