We can convert open 2002 or E21 differential to a limited slip.

BMW 2002 E36 Spool Limited Slip Differential - 25% LOCKUP
Details:
Rebuilt. The differential is fully disassembled and cleaned. The clutches are removed, cleaned, and media blasted to restore the original friction surface prior to reassembly. The diff case is modified slightly to allow for installation of the limited slip spool, and then the diff is painted, reassembled, and set up with the correct backlash and proper gear contact. New bearings and seals are also installed.
Included are custom modified E21 drive flanges to allow for easy installation of 2002 axles along with hard anodized billet aluminum spacers and longer hardened bolts so the correct geometry is maintained.
Fits any 2002 that does not have a long neck diff - basically any made after 1968.
This is a rebuilt LSD that comes with a 12 month warranty. I've sold hundreds of used and rebuilt LSDs to happy owners and won't try to pass off a worn out or poorly built diff on anyone.

These aircraft grade hard-anodized aluminum 6mm spacers were designed for our spacer and bolt kit, which can be purchased here. The holes fit 8mm bolts.
LSD Posi Axle Conversion Spacer and Bolt Kit

In order to install an E21 LSD in your 2002 you need either of the following:
Double drilled axle flanges or '76 2002 axle flanges and 1/4" spacers and longer 8mm bolts to maintain the correct geometry,
OR early E21 320 CV axles, spacers and 8mm bolts, and some labor to install the CVs on your 2002 half shafts.
Assuming you have completed either one of these options, you will need spacers and longer bolts. Included in this kit is the set of spacers and hardware. The aircraft grade hard-anodized aluminum 6mm spacers and longer 10.9 grade bolts are necessary to maintain the geometry BMW intended for the axles and CVs. Otherwise the CV joints will be stretched, possibly resulting in premature CV joint wear.
